A Dubai desert safari is a highly recommended, albeit tourist-centric, experience combining thrilling activities with a cultural camp, though reviews vary based on operator quality. Positive reviews frequently mention professional guides, exciting dune bashing, beautiful sunset views, and a fun-filled evening at a traditional Bedouin-style camp with dinner and performances. Conversely, some negative reviews point out issues with poor organization, short durations for activities like camel rides or sandboarding, unclean camps, and a lack of authentic cultural experiences, which can happen with less reputable tour operators.

Dubai Safari Park is truly one of the most beautiful and well-managed wildlife parks I’ve visited. The whole experience feels clean, organized, and family-friendly. You get to see a huge variety of animals in spacious, natural-style habitats — lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, and so many more. The safari drive is the highlight! The guides are knowledgeable, the buses are comfortable, and you get really close to the animals in a safe way. The bird show and animal presentations are also amazing, especially for kids. The park is big, very well maintained, and there are plenty of resting spots, cafes, and shaded areas. Staff are polite and helpful throughout. Overall, it’s a perfect day out with family — educational, fun, and definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended!

Free parking, but be sure to make it before 10-11 AM, because it gets crowded. It is very well organized and the architecture is great. Some of animals are only 1-2 pieces, but it is good to see them anyways. The stad is very helpful and friendly. Restrooms are clean and available. There is no problem with them, there are plenty of them. It takes approximately 4,5-5 hours to see all for normal tickets.

One of the finest zoo and safari parks I've ever visited! The place is impeccably managed and thoughtfully organized. Everywhere you look, there's a sense of peace and natural beauty that truly captivates the soul. The animals are all well cared for, and the guides deserve a perfect 10/10 for their vast knowledge, engaging storytelling, and ability to keep visitors immersed and excited. Each zone offers its own unique charm, and it's inspiring to see some species being protected and nurtured here. It was absolutely worth bringing the kids along—they loved every moment. For me, the safari experience was the highlight of the day!

A huge, well conceived, designed and maintained zoo, one of the best you may see in a lifetime. The abundance of grass makes it unique among Middle East parks. It’s split into sections: African Village, Asian Village, Explorer Village, Arabian desert and Kids Farm. Midway among them runs Al Wadi brook. You can take the local train from one park to another, then inside each park you’ll walk (except Safari park where you can only take the bus for the safari (unless you want to become a prey)… Most visitors’ walkways and observation spots within the parks are shaded and equipped with a ventilation/cooling/water system system, which makes walking very comfortable. Allow about an hour for each park you plan to visit (3-4 hours would be a typical time for the entire zoo). And if you decide to have lunch or coffee in one of the numerous restaurants and cafes inside, you could easily spend your full day here. In African Village, you can see the male lion from as close as 10m (if lucky), and also hippos, gorillas, hyenas, elephants, baboons, reptiles and -of course- birds. In Explorer Village you will (almost certainly) encounter giraffes, rhinos, lions, tigers, buffalos, crocs, cheetahs etc. Just like most zoos, visit as early in the morning as possible (or as late in the afternoon as possible) when the animals are more active and walking easier. The Asian village is relatively smaller and you can see black bears, two shows at the Asian Village Theater etc. Entrance fee: AED 50-125, depending on the package. Closed July-Sep.

I visited Dubai Safari Park with my family in January and it turned out to be a really good experience. The place is very well organized and spread out, so it never feels overcrowded even though there were a lot of visitors. The park is divided into different zones (African, Asian, Arabian Desert, etc.) and each one is designed thoughtfully, giving you the feel of a proper safari-style environment rather than just a typical zoo. We took the bus and train rides inside the park which made it easy to move around, especially with kids. The African Safari tour was the highlight — seeing lions, giraffes, rhinos, zebras, and elephants up close in a semi-wild setting was something my children really enjoyed. The bird and reptile houses were also worth it, with a good variety on display. What I liked most was that the animals seemed well taken care of and the staff was helpful in guiding us through the different areas. There were also multiple food outlets and rest areas, so it was comfortable spending several hours inside without feeling rushed. Overall, it’s a great family outing spot in Dubai. Plan to spend at least half a day there if you want to see everything properly. It’s both entertaining and educational for kids, and a nice change from the usual city attractions. I would definitely recommend it for families or even tourists looking to experience something unique beyond malls and beaches.
